A Distinguished Military Career
Dave’s journey began at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the United States Army. Starting as an Armor Crewman, he quickly demonstrated his commitment and leadership potential, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later transitioned to become an Armament Specialist for Apache Helicopters before attending Officer Candidate School, where he earned his commission and served as a Communications Officer.
Throughout his 23-year military career, Dave served in multiple combat operations, including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Joint Endeavor, and the Global War on Terror. During these assignments, he gained invaluable experience in high-stakes environments. Notably, he was stationed in Germany during the historic reunification, contributing to critical operations during a transformative period in global history.As a Company Commander and Battalion Logistical Officer, Dave excelled in managing safety protocols, training programs, and logistical operations at the company and battalion level. These roles equipped him with the ability to lead under pressure, prioritize safety, and develop highly effective teams.
A Leader in Safety and Training
Since transitioning to the private sector, Dave has been a transformative leader in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). As the Vice President of EHS and Training at Congruex, he has redefined safety protocols and built a culture where safety is at the forefront of operations. Under his leadership, the company has reduced workplace injuries by 25% year-over-year and implemented industry-leading safety training programs for field and office personnel alike. Dave’s initiatives have set a benchmark for operational safety in the telecommunications and construction industries.
